Straight Shank Arbors – Drill Chuck Arbors

• Straight Shank Drill Chuck Arbor  mainly used in drilling machine and lathe machine.
• Drill chuck arbors have one end which is the taper of the machine. The most common are Morse Tapers.
• For mounting in a drill press spindle or lathe, or NT tapers for mounting in milling machines.
• The other end of the arbor, a short taper called a Jacobs Taper driven into the taper in the chuck body. The JT taper or Jacobs Taper , the most commonly used taper for mounting a drill chuck.
• Drill sleeves is used to change the taper of the connective arbors.
• Morse taper shank allows the tool to be inserted directly into the machine’s spindle to facilitate high-torque applications such as large cut diameters.
